Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role


The Senior Adviser will support the curriculum publishing programme across Te Poutāhū from early learning through to senior secondary for print and digital materials and resources.

Our materials and resources must help kaiako, teachers, leaders and centre managers to provide teaching and learning programmes that reduce inequity and lift achievement and well-being.

They work within the Curriculum, Pathways & Progress team and with external providers and publishers.

Mōhou ake | About you


We are looking for people who have knowledge and experience in resource publication (physical and digital) and/or management of web-based resources.

The role will work with teams across Te Poutāhū to provide high quality materials for the sector.

We are looking for people who care about inclusive and equitable teaching and learning and who can provide high quality advice and guidance.


Your personal qualities will include taking pride in publishing products of the highest quality every time and having a proven ability to get the job done.

You will take an active role in ensuring that our curriculum products help us deliver on a service-oriented approach.

You will be able to work at pace and manage set tasks and projects. In this role you will need interpersonal savviness that enables you to relate well with all kinds of people.

We are looking for people that really understand the diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand and can provide high quality advice (written and verbal).

Understanding of the education system, including The New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and Te Whāriki, is desirable.

Experience in contract management, project coordination and working in government agencies are desirable.
