- Have a strong focus on customer service and relevant experience
- Have the ability and skills to support the design and delivery of high quality services and programmes
- Learn how to deliver reference services, information activities and programmes both in house and community based as required relating to the Māori material we hold in our collections across our network
- Contribute to supporting professional development for colleagues in this area and will also assist with developing and updating Māori digital resources and services along with promotion of our broader library services
- Maintain stock in the Ngā Pounamu Māori collection including deselection, identifying items for mending and identifying areas/items for development or purchase
- Bring knowledge of the sector and/or have relevant experience working in a similar position
- Bring knowledge and experience of tikanga Māori and Te Reo Māori
- Be willing to work collaboratively amongst the team
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about serving the community and providing the best quality customer service
This unique role within the Libraries & Information Unit of Council will give you valuable Māori information management skills for you to take into your future.
