He aha te mahi? What's the role?:
The Maturity Support Team was created 3 years ago when Zespri built an in-house maturity clearance function. This role will support the day to day operations of the Maturity Support Team.

The position will proactively identify situations or opportunities where data is needed about growers, postharvest, orchards, sample areas or block information to support the industry with their needs.


Please note, that during peak season (February to June) you will be on a rotating roster, required to work some evenings and weekends.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Rapidly resolve grower and postharvest issues at first contact through proactive and detailed knowledge of Zespri's business processes across all business units.
  • Update training material and provide ongoing support throughout the maturity season.
  • Triage customer queries and know how to escalate if needed.
  • Build and maintain rapport with all external stakeholders.
  • Answer incoming calls and ensure that the team resolve grower and stakeholder issues and queries.
  • Provide support to Team Leader in maintaining and updating master data from season to season.
  • Understand the Health & Safety protocols and how they can be impacted.

You'll have a strong customer focus, with a "can do" attitude.

You will also meet the following selection criteria:

  • Tertiary education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 23 years customer service experience preferred.
  • Highly developed computer skills (Word, Excel, CRM).
  • Kiwifruit industry knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Experience with databases (e.g. SQL, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
  • Flexibility to work rostered hours across the busy harvest season.
