The Department of Nephrology at Christchurch Hospital
provides a regional nephrology service for people in Canterbury, South
Canterbury, and the West Coast We provide General nephrology outpatient
services, inpatient consultations and hospital haemodialysis. We have a home
dialysis training unit teaching home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for
patients in our region. We are also the transplant centre for the lower South
Island.
The Systems Manager is responsible
for maintaining the Nephrology Department's technology systems at a
consistently high level of operational integrity.
You will work collaboratively with the Nephrology
clinical and administrative team to design and implement changes to the
department's systems to provide continuous improvement to clinical and business
processes in the Nephrology department.
You will be proficient in SQL. Knowledge of Query Creation and Report
writing.
The role provides technical
support for other software and hardware used in the department, in conjunction
with our
Information Services Group. You will be working 20 hours per week, in which the hours and days can be flexible.

ViisConnect are maintained
- Engage in
- Collaborate
configurations of ViisConnect to support business processes, as
approved by the Nephrology Management team
- Proficiency
- Train staff
Essential
- Intermediate to expert level in MS Office
- SQL Database and query experience
- Report writing experience
- An appreciation of the setting within which
- An intermediate understanding of computer hardware and softwareDesirable
- Understanding of iOS, Windows operating
