About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated and customer focussed finance team.

As a Business Advisor, you will be self-managing, results driven and capable to take control of the day-to-day accounting function within the business.


You will have a pro-active approach; possess sound competencies in financial analysis and reporting, along with proven abilities in liaising with the key stakeholders to provide sound financial advice and to ensure integrity of data and processes.

In this role you will gain exposure to a broad range of finance functions and will be able to further develop your business skills.

You will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in the performance of your role. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a well-practiced customer service ethic.

An ability to use your own initiative, problem-solve and a high level of self-motivation is necessary for success in this role.

Most importantly, you will have a talent in making numbers understandable for others.

This may be through your skill at graphs, pivot tables, presentations or may be through your ability to "tell a story".

This is a dynamic role where your areas of responsibility may change from time to time.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide day to day finance and business support including monthend accruals, forecasting and reporting, under the direction of the Senior Business Manager.
  • Provide business and finance support to Business Group or Districts' managers and staff as required ensuring the Senior Business Manager is kept informed.
  • Provide advice, support and mentoring to staff in the Group or District who assist in financial management or processing.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial processes complying with national policies and mandates and ensuring appropriate internal controls.
  • Act as the liaison person between the Group or District and National Office, under the direction of the Senior Business Manager, ensuring the Group or District gets their needs met and that National Office receives what they need to complete their requirements.

  • Tertiary degree level qualification in accountancy, finance or related discipline is preferred. Professional accreditation is desirable.
