Business Advisor

Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for a Business Advisor to join our wider finance team. You'll report to the Business Advisory Manager - Corporate and be responsible for a portfolio which sees you partnering with some of our corporate business units on key finance matters. You'll support and drive them towards better outcomes around financial management, performance, investment and ongoing strategic and commercial management decisions.

You'll draw on your management accounting background when it comes time to month end reporting and then working with the business around the insights and what it all means.

There will also be a variety of ad hoc and project work to get your teeth stuck into. Variety is the key in this role.

As an experienced management accountant, you'll have cut your teeth in either a Big 4 environment or gained some commercial experience in medium to large sized organisations and be ready for your next step.

You'll couple this with

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present information for a variety of audiences
  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to build financial models, quickly analyse data, index match and use look up functions with ease
  • Being curious. Curious to learn all everything about the business units you support and also to there enhance your skills so you can provide top notch support to those businesses

It goes without saying but we'll say it anyway, a degree in finance or accounting is essential and if you added in a CA qualification that would be the icing on the cake.
