About the role
In this position you will support the handling of all claims from end to end.

This is a relationship driven role where you will be providing accurate information surrounding active and previous claims to brokers, clients, loss adjustors/assessors and insurers.


Responsibilities of the role:

  • Assisting the Claims Manager in the full servicing of insurance claims.
  • Providing clear and accurate communication to clients, brokers and other staff.
  • Building relationships with insurers to strengthen client advocacy.
  • Learning and understanding all of the major classes of insurance that are provided to clients.
  • Ensuring that accurate, up to date records on all clients are maintained at all times.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance Intermediaries Act, Financial Advisers Act and other relevant legislation.

About you:

  • Clear communication skills with strong relationship building abilities.
  • Processdriven with the ability to take the initiative in difficult situations.
  • Confidence in interacting with clients and insurers over the phone and in person.
  • Ensuring you will become familiar with all 12 standards of the new Financial Services Legislation Amendment Bill
  • Completed NZAF Qualification or working towards, preferred
