Our General Surgery Administrator team provide a high level of service to customer, staff and whanau. We deliver administration needs to the service areas in a timely manner, with an empathise on booking of Elective Surgery theatre lists and waitlist management.

This is a job share role supporting the current Elective Surgery administrator to be successful at booking Elective Surgery theatre lists for approximately 12 consultants for General Surgery.

As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 5/Profile 5B

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Providing great service and direction to customers, staff and whānau
- Administration of Elective Surgery waitlists
- Booking of theatre lists
- Professional timely service
- Various other tasks as determined by the Service.

Your skills will include:

- Experienced customer service with the ability to go above and beyond
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- A team player
- Clear precise communication skills
- Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
