The Role Reporting to the NZ Commercial Director and acting as a key member of the commercial team, the General Manager is primarily responsible for the management and commercial relationships and activities associated with tenders and business development for the Kinetic New Zealand group.

Working closely with the Commercial Director, responsibilities will include; Driving the strategic planning for future business development.

Assessment of new markets and business opportunities to achieve the Company's mid to long term commercial business growth and revenue objectives.

Establishing effective industry relationships with local and central government as key customers and contract partners.
Advising the senior leadership team on tender and commercial opportunities.
Providing input into local and central government public transport planning.
Driving all tender and contract variation commercial activities.
About You Experience in high value complex tendering, including implementing and managing contracts and variations to contracts.
Senior level relationship management experience and strategic sales planning.
High level of financial literary, including pricing and appreciation for drivers of contract profitability.

Exposure to transport, logistics, 3 PL, FMCG, roading or similar industries where multimillion dollar tenders are common with similar operational dynamics.

Previous exposure to working with councils and the intricacies required for large, multi-stakeholder and bureaucratic environments (nice to have).
