Delivereasy is a powerhouse of on-demand delivery that has seen phenomenal growth in the last 6 years. In a global game, we're Kiwis that have worked bloody hard to fly in the domestic market and are now looking for an experienced, hungry growth marketer to help us execute world-class campaigns with a local flavour; and build Delivereasy's position as NZer's favourite on-demand delivery app.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this is a fast-paced role that requires someone with a particular set of skills and a particular attitude. Nah, we're not recruiting for Taken 4. We're looking for a B2C acquisition marketing lead to help us deliver epic delivery experiences to even more New Zealanders.

About you:

  • 6+ years experience in B2C customer acquisition.
  • You enjoy the thrill of the chase and the results that come with it, but you rely on actual hardcore data to bring method to the madness and inform your hunches.
  • You are great at what you do, but you're endearingly ambitious in how you do it. Others might call you a weapon, but you wouldn't say that about yourself because you're humble.'Hackers' and 'Ninjas' need not apply, unless that's referring to your hobbies outside of work. In which case, we're into it and we're keen to see a skills demo.
  • You see modest (but still decent) budgets as a chance to show your skills, not as a barrier to success. To support that, you'll have sound business acumen and experience managing budgets to help maximize commercial outcomes for Delivereasy.
  • You love to jump on the tools, and can when the need calls for it (which it probably will). Just as importantly, you've got experience working alongside agency teams to achieve results. We treat our agency partners as co-conspirators in our quest to topple the big global behemoths, so teamwork is critical. Dictators and power-players are not gonna fit that well here.
  • You're based in Wellington (or willing to relocate) and enjoy coming in to the office. As a lean team taking on the robo-agents of Uber Eats, face-time is super important. That said, we understand there's always a balance.
  • You like to have a yarn. We have a great culture here at Delivereasy and that's mostly because we hire people that don't take themselves too seriously (but do take what we do seriously).
  • Ideally, you've had experience across the marketing landscape (a job history that includes time in an agency and at an in-house scale-up would be our unicorn).

A typical month might look like:

  • Reviewing in-market acquisition activity and drilling into what's working, what's not working, why, and what else we want to test.
  • Monitor campaign performance and regularly report on agreed critical key metrics to the CMO.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing and sales team to manage and execute the marketing calendar to ensure effective and timely development and execution of programs.
  • Briefing and working with our agency partners and internal stakeholders to develop a new acquisition campaign.
  • Audience research to inform new entry points and product positioning.
  • Leveraging partnership opportunities to grow Delivereasy's user base.

Key results we're looking for that'll show you're nailing it:

  • Consistent growth in new customer numbers across critical regions
  • Build our customer referral programme into an acquisition engine
  • Manage and continue to develop acquisition channel strategy
  • Ensure always-on activity has a rigorous test and learn programme, with budgets that are optimised across key sales regions.
  • Awesome collaboration across the board, a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to leave a better taste in the mouth of our customers.

Key results that could indicate we're nailing it with you:

  • You wear our t-shirt around the office sometimes, and maybe even to your mates BBQ... Some of our staff also have a tattoo of our logo. This is entirely optional.
