Finance Reporting Manager (Fixed Term Parental Leave Cover)

Being one of NZ's largest privately-owned businesses (over 1200 team members), with the support of global parent company DEKRA, VTNZ offers a unique opportunity in the Wellington market for a financial reporting expert.

We are looking for an individual to cover a 12-month Fixed term parental leave position.

You will have a big picture strategic outlook be commercially savvy, pragmatic, energetic and ready to bring proven experience to this role.


Key aspects of the role:

  • Team leadership. You may be a wellhoned people leader or have a natural aptitude to coach/mentor and collaborate to get the best out of people
  • Financial reporting board paper content, statutory reports, internal management reporting. A passion to tell a story using your insights to share financial information with nonfinancial stakeholders
  • Budgeting, business planning and forecasting
  • Analysis and delivery of financial insights to support business decisions

To perform at the level required you will have:

  • Proven stakeholder engagement (private organisation / blue collar preferred)
  • Super user in the Microsoft suite of products and FMIS savvy
  • An eye for detail to ensure data integrity
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (ideally chartered accountancy)
  • Drive for continuous improvement and a passion to deliver results in a fastpaced environment
