About you:

  • We are looking for someone to join our public transport team to help us coordinate the various operational aspects of our public transport services. This role is necessary to ensure our bus, train and on demand services provide the best experience they can for our customers across the Waikato region.
  • You will be someone who works well within a team, has a calm demeanour when responding to unplanned situations, and can bring their own relevant knowledge and experience to the job.
  • As part of the Operations Public Transport team, your role will sit between customer service counter activities and other operational activities, as well as ticketing, stakeholder engagement and business support activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of working within an operational public transport environment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a transport operations support role or similar.

About the role:

  • Assisting with the management of inventories and distribution of operational consumables such as ticketing paper, printed timetables, smart cards, and other items throughout the region.
  • Management and processing of the customer feedback.
  • Assisting with in house Public Transport system updates.
  • Business support across the operation/customer focus teams.
  • Assisting with monitoring of public transport service delivery and adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Assisting with special event planning and implementation.
  • Assisting with running community and stakeholder engagement programmes and activities. Delivering exceptional customer service for customers that serves to enhance their journey experience on Public Transport.
