People and Capability are responsible for the development of people related strategies and plans that support the strategic aims and objectives of the Chief Ombudsman.

Mō te tūranga - About the role

As the P&C Administrator, you will provide administration support across all People and Capability activities; this includes first level HR support to the Office; managing HR systems and processes and ensuring accurate employee records and integrity of staff information.

You will be someone with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail and some understanding of employment laws and regulations.

You will also be involved in day to day operational tasks and support for key P&C projects. One of those projects will have you working closely and collaboratively on the new HRIS implementation. You will provide HRIS administration and have technical know-how, and be quick at picking up and learning new systems.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • HR Administrator/Coordinator experience
  • Previous experience using an HRIS system and other HR related systems
  • University degree or tertiary qualification in business or human resource management or related discipline; or the equivalent work experience, knowledge, skills and attributes required to be successful in this position
  • Some experience of working with HR practices and processes, and providing advice and support to managers and staff, preferably within the NZ public sector
  • A high degree of initiative, able to work autonomously, get on with the work and be a selfstarter.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Depending on skills and experience the salary is expected to be between $48,882 to $73,324 with $61,103 being the mid-point.
