Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

The Programme Director - Delivery will lead the operational team responsible for the development and delivery of programmes of work, project feasibility, business case development, key stakeholder and community engagement, contractor/consultant appointments and the ultimate delivery of housing to meet the Government's annual targets.

Team 5 has a significant pipeline of work, scheduled to deliver approximately 500 homes over the next 12 months, with approximately 900 homes in its preconstruction development pipeline.

The Programme Director - Delivery will also work alongside our other wider delivery teams and establishing these working relationships is key.

Ability to lead through change will be a key attribute in an environment where we continue to improve our efficiencies in delivering much needed homes and communities.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Experience leading highly skilled, high performing and engaged management and professional teams in a multifaceted and demanding environment.
  • Extensive experience in senior management and/or property development in the residential housing or commercial construction sector in New Zealand
  • Experience in business administration, systems, processes and financial management, including budget planning and implementation
  • Environmental awareness and appreciation of the potential impact of trends, legislation, etc
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and relationship management skills
  • Interest in public sector structure, governance, processes and systems
  • Experience navigating and operating in a regulated environment
  • Experience working constructively across functions and track record of building and maintaining the trust of all stakeholders.
  • Understanding of partnership obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi and experience in working with Iwi and Māori organisations
