Here's what you'll be doing

You'll bring fresh ideas and suggestions, and work with this multi-site business to implement a more efficient and business-focused HR service.

This is a sole charge, broad HR generalist role, which will include providing day to day advice and guidance to all managers and employees on HR matters, supporting managers through ER issues, overseeing and coordinating H&S and overseeing recruitment & onboarding.

This is a unionised environment, so you'll also quickly come up to speed with the various collectives that are in place.

A key project will be the scoping, selection and implementation of new HR and onboarding technology to drive efficiency.

You'll also own all aspects of HR administration, ensuring that all HR documentation and systems are fit for purpose and up to date.

Management of payroll and L&D sits with other teams, so will fall outside of the scope of this role.

Skills and experience you'll bring
You're collaborative, engaging and a team player.

Strong communication and relationship building skills will see you thrive in this role, as will a keen attention to detail.

You are an experienced HR professional with strong working knowledge of all relevant NZ legislation and have ideally worked in the education sector.

As this is a sole charge opportunity, you're not precious about turning your hand to admin one minute and partnering with business leaders the next - you're happy to do it all
