An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Curriculum Wāhanga for the role of Assessment & Qualifications Lead.

The Assessment and Qualifications Lead is an:

  • Inclusive, analytical, innovative and creative problem solver, responsive to shifts in educational thinking, assessment theory and practice.
  • Focused on equitable access to learning and equitable outcomes for diverse learners.
  • This role is responsible for leading, influencing and supporting ongoing development in assessment thinking and practice across all levels of curriculum delivery at Te Kura, including Early Childhood.
  • This position reports to the Deputy Chief Executive Curriculum and works closely with the Principal Advisor Curriculum, the Curriculum Team, Regional Leaders of Learning, and Kaiako Matua to support the ongoing development in assessment thinking and practice across all levels of curriculum delivery at Te Kura, including Early Childhood.

We are looking for someone with a passion for rigorous and inclusive assessment practice grounded in deep understanding of curriculum, who is also excited by the opportunities for assessment innovation that have come from Te Mātaiaho and the NCEA Change Programme.  You will be a champion for Te Ara Pounamu, model the dispositions for living, learning and wellbeing of Ngā Āheinga, demonstrate Ngā Mātāpono in action, and be on your bilingual journey.
