About the Role
As a Senior Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional food experiences that align with our brand standards and guest expectations. You'll be hands-on in service while also mentoring the team, managing quality, and contributing to menu innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation & Service: Prepare and cook dishes across a diverse offering, including à la carte dining, buffet and continental breakfasts, grab-and-go options, and large-scale event catering.
- Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, ensuring consistency across all service styles.
- Station & Service Management: Lead your section with precision, ensuring smooth service during high-volume periods and events.
- Event & Catering Delivery: Support the preparation and service of private functions and group catering, adapting to guest needs.
- Innovation & Versatility: Contribute creative ideas to enhance menus and improve efficiency while maintaining cost control.
- Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock, minimise wastage, and assist with ordering to meet operational demands.
- Safety & Hygiene: Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene practices, keeping workspaces clean, organised, and compliant.
- Compliance: Uphold all requirements under the Food Control Plan, relevant food safety regulations, health codes, and licensing obligations.
- Training & Mentorship: Train and guide junior staff, sharing best practice and building capability across multiple service formats.
- Proven experience as a Senior or Sous Chef in a busy, multi-outlet or multi-service environment.
- Strong knowledge of à la carte, buffet, and catering operations.
- Culinary qualification preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Current Food Safety Certification essential.
- Strong understanding of health codes, food safety legislation, Food Control Plan and licensing requirements.
- A passion for innovation, efficiency, and leading from the front.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver consistently at a high standard.
