As a Commis Chef for Beast & Butterflies, you'll assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes, ensuring food is presented to the highest standards. You'll work closely with senior Chefs and contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items in line with hotel cuisine standards.
  • Maintain food hygiene and safety in accordance with the Food Control Plan.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and equipment care.
  • Assist with stock control and receiving deliveries.
  • Support the team during busy service periods and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen would be beneficial (Asian cuisine experience is a plus).
  • Culinary qualification or currently training.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for food and service.
  • Availability to work a range of shifts, and flexible between Monday to Sunday.

This is a part time 20-hour per week part-time position, with a variable rotating roster which will include weekends and public holidays. Pay range between $26 to $28 per hour.
