Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
The Export Samples Specialist is a critical member of the Fonterra Trade Documentation Centre based in Onehunga. In this role you will support the Samples Manager to ensure Site Security, Food Safety Quality & Regulatory compliance requirements are met. In addition, you will provide specialist knowledge on Export Documentation and Samples Operations including Warehouse Management.
Reporting to Samples Team Leads, your responsibilities will also include:
- Sourcing product and ensuring its eligible for destined market and fit for purpose
- Product samples are prepared, labelled, documented, and dispatched within KPI's
- Tracking of cargo ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and monitoring methods are accurate
- Working with different parties in supply chain to investigate any complaints and corrections
- Continually looking for ways to improve process, system, and sustainability for our site
- Support site manager to ensure facilities and equipment are maintained to provide safe working conditions for staff, contractors and visitors.
- Maintain the food safety & quality status of the site through inspections and audits.
- Ensure all warehouse operations and prerequisite programs that support the site Risk Management Program are complete and accurate.
- Manual handling - Lifting products of around 25kgs frequently
*Please note this is a 12-month fixed-term position.

We are looking for a highly organised professional who has had exposure to supply chain and or food safety & quality experience. Has the willingness to learn and adhere to the business regulatory and compliance standards. You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, coupled with great initiative and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong work ethic and safety focus.
- Excellent planning and prioritising skills
- Physical fitness to complete manual tasks without restrictions
- Advanced Excel and SAP knowledge
- Exposure to supply chain, freight forwarding, or warehousing background

- Strong analytical & reporting skills
- Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
