About the role
We're looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to support our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team. This role is key to keeping our systems, records, and reporting running smoothly and ensuring our people have what they need to work safely.
This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with flexible hours available once you're up to speed - perfect for balancing work with family, traffic, or other life commitments.
We believe in developing and training our employees, so you don't need to have all the skills listed below. If you have a can-do attitude and are eager to learn, our team will provide mentoring, support, and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding new workers and maintaining induction and training records
- Systems administration within Damstra and other HSE platforms
- Managing the HSE team inbox and responding to queries in a timely manner
- Accurate data entry and database maintenance
- Document control and version management
- Compiling and analysing HSE data for monthly reports and dashboards
- Scheduling and tracking health checks, training, and other compliance activities
- Supporting internal audits, inspections, and follow-up of corrective actions
- Assisting with HSE communications, notices, and document templates
About You
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word formatting, Excel formulas, PowerPoint)
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Confident engaging with people at all levels and managing multiple priorities
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work independently
- Experience using Damstra or similar HSE systems is desirable
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards is advantageousUnderstanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) is preferred but not essential
