**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
Ara Poutama Aotearoa Health Services is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed individual who is capable of working in a wide range of Health Care activities based at **Mt Eden Corrections Facility** for prisoners who have ongoing complex health and/or disability needs. Within a Primary health care setting, administrering medication, triaging patients, assisting in health care delivery to patients, all under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
This is an opportunity for a **Health Care Assistant** with experience in health care to join a high-performing health led team who are dedicated and committed to developing and embedding a Kaupapa Maori based model of care into the heart of health services delivery.
**Mōu | About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working with patients who have complex health and/or disability needs.
- Level 3 Health Care Assistant certified qualification
- The ability to work collaboratively and under instruction
- A non-judgemental approach
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand
- Be fully vaccinated

**Utu ā-tau | Salary**
The salary steps for this position are step 1 50,719, step 2 $56,610 & step 3 $59,670. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
**Kano ārai mate KOWHEORI-19 | COVID-19 vaccinations**
As part of the COVID-19 response, health workers regulated by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act are required to be vaccinated and boosted. This includes doctors, nurses and psychologists.
Staff not regulated by the HPCA do not currently need to provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status.
