We're looking for a hands-on Duty Manager to join our team at Famous Eddy — a vibrant, comfort-food restaurant built on energy, creativity, and care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations Management

  • Supervise day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Oversee cash-handling, POS reconciliation, and daily reporting.
  • Monitor floor service, ensure timely food delivery, and maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate table allocations, bookings, and event operations where required.

2. Staff Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervise and train front-of-house (FOH) staff to maintain consistent service standards.
  • Manage staff schedules and allocate daily duties effectively.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
  • Promote teamwork, clear communication, and a positive work culture.

3. Customer Service and Guest Relations

  • Ensure all guests receive warm, professional, and attentive service.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Engage with customers to promote new dishes, specials, or events.

4. Administration and Stock Management

  • Conduct inventory checks and manage supply orders in coordination with the kitchen team.
  • Record and report daily sales, stock usage, and wastage as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for compliance, staff records, and operations.

5. Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and alcohol licensing regulations.
  • Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards across all service areas.
  • Follow all relevant workplace health and safety requirements.

6. Business Growth and Development

  • Contribute ideas to improve menu offerings, service flow, and customer experience.
  • Support the implementation of marketing or promotional initiatives.
  • Work closely with management to identify cost efficiencies and business opportunities.

Skills and Attributes Required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hospitality or customer service roles, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proven ability to manage teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in POS and basic administrative systems (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Understanding of food safety and responsible service of alcohol practices (LCQ or Manager license preferred).
  • Professional appearance, reliability, and commitment to quality service.
