While we're ideally looking for an experienced generator technician who can hit the ground running, we are also keen to hear from Mechanical and Industrial electricians who are looking to transfer their skills to a new industry and take the next step in their career.

Role:

Across both their hire and sales divisions, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installation and commissioning of modern, high-quality generators. You'll need technical skills of course, but what we're really looking for here is an old school, whatever-it-takes attitude to your work. Grit, graft, gumption - long story short, the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. 

Clients include the major electricity networks, farms, ports, and councils - you'll be playing with big boy toys, so health and safety needs to be second-nature. Most of the time you'll be based at the yard in north-west Christchurch, however the total area coverage stretches from Ashburton to the top of the South and occasional travel will be required (no more than a couple nights at a time, every couple of months).

What We Are Looking For:

  • New Zealand Registered Electrician
  • Demonstrated NZ experience as a Generator Technician, or otherwise as an Industrial / Mechanical Electrician
  • Excellent communication, teamwork + customer service
  • Rigorous health + safety standards
  • Great work ethic
