Are you a proven sales professional who enjoys autonomy, builds strong customer relationships, and knows how to grow a region? We're seeking a Regional Account Manager to take ownership of the entire South Island territory... Your mission? Grow share of wallet, deepen existing relationships, and help customers get more value from a product range with over 400 subgroups.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value accounts
  • Drive retention and increase share of wallet across the region
  • Identify new opportunities within existing customers
  • Conduct approx. 200 targeted sales conversations per month
  • Use CRM insights to plan activity and maintain accurate data
  • Work closely with internal sales and support staff who handle admin, appointments, and travel planning
  • Some travel throughout the year to North Island HQ to connect and collaborate

Most weeks include 2-3 days on the road, with full support behind you - focus on where you can add value and our admin team will do the same.

What will it take to be successful?

  • Has serious sales experience (5+ years) in account management or field sales
  • Loves building relationships and maintaining regular customer contact
  • Works autonomously but stays deeply connected to the team
  • Ability to understand customer needs and offer value-focused solutions
  • Confident use of CRM and MS Office
  • Thrives in a highly supportive, but also high-expectation environment
  • Is adaptable, growth-focused, and not afraid to try new approaches
  • A clean driver licence and ability to pass pre-employment checks
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial supply is an advantage but not essential
  • Huge advantage if you come from a welding background
