Are you a talented and experienced Accounts and Office Administrator, seeking a busy and rewarding new opportunity?

This role is at the heart of Pact Steel, requiring you to work across many facets of the business, including Office, Accounts, Fleet and Employee Administration.

We're looking for someone highly organised, reliable, and able to multi-task, prioritise workloads and support the business across a variety of areas.

Located at our Head Office in Ngaruawahia (North Hamilton), you will be a crucial connection for Pact Steel, our employees, suppliers and customers.

The Accounts and Office Administrator is responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Pact Steel's office and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day office tasks and general administration
  • Employee administration
  • General purchasing
  • Assisting with accounts processing and reconciliation
  • Coordinating resources and maintaining well-organised systems
  • Supporting the workshop, project and management teams
  • Vehicle and fleet administration
  • Helping the business run efficiently and professionally

About You

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in office administration, accounts, or business support
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Competence in accounting systems (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Full driver's licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A good-natured, reliable hard worker who can think outside the box
  • Fit, healthy, and able to perform administrative duties
