At Make-A-Wish New Zealand, we grant life-changing wishes for tamariki with critical illnesses, bringing hope, strength, and joy at the toughest of times. Every wish we grant is only possible because of the generosity of our donors and the strength of our fundraising. As we grow, we know digital engagement is critical to our success, and we're looking for a Digital Fundraising Lead to help us take things to the next level.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing and optimising digital donor journeys (Welcome, Regular Giving, Reactivation, and email automation).
  • Managing and refining Google Ads (including Google Ad Grants) and Meta campaigns to acquire, engage, and retain supporters.
  • Ensuring our digital platforms and campaigns connect the full Make-A-Wish journey, from fundraising and donor care to wish delivery and medical outreach.
  • Enhancing our website to serve both donors, volunteers and wish families – all our stakeholders. Ensuring it's user-friendly, easy to navigate, SEO-optimised, and conversion-driven for all audiences.
  • Building reporting dashboards to track performance, identify trends, and make data-led recommendations.
  • Collaborating with our Communications & Marketing Lead to align storytelling and fundraising, ensuring digital touchpoints reflect the full impact of our work.
  • Helping ensure our digital platforms connect fundraising with wish delivery, medical outreach, and whānau engagement across Aotearoa.
  • Rolling up your sleeves to support team campaigns and events when needed - creative, collaborative, and always hands-on.

This role goes beyond ads and analytics, it's about ensuring every person who connects with Make-A-Wish online feels inspired, supported, and part of our mission.

What we're looking for

You'll thrive here if you're proactive, creative, and motivated by making a difference. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 2–3 years' experience in digital fundraising or digital marketing.
  • Hands on experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads/Grants, SEO, and email automation.
  • Solid knowledge of all digital channels and how they integrate.
  • Experience managing websites (CMS) and linking digital fundraising tools with CRMs.
  • Confidence with data, reporting, and turning insights into action.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, able to juggle multiple projects with ease.
  • Excellent communication skills. (verbal and written)
  • A collaborative, can-do approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves to support events and fundraising campaigns.
