Electrical/Instrument Tradesperson

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical / Instrument Tradesperson to join the Casting team permanently.
What you will be doing
Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment in the Casting Plant, ideally, you will be qualified in Instrumentation & Control or be working towards this.
This position is within a well-established team that prides itself on implementing innovative solutions to ensure that quality outcomes are achieved.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and repair work ensuring quality outcomes are achieved.
- Monitoring of the plant and equipment
- Providing technical support, operational investigation, and fault-finding
This is a Monday – Friday day position, but from time to time, you may be required to work extended hours for shift cover, shutdowns, or supporting breakdowns, and occasional callouts may be required.
What you will bring to the role
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong team focus, excellent communication skills, and an uncompromising attitude to safety. With a high degree of responsibility, you will need to be confident to work independently as well as have the capability to plan, organize, and delegate responsibilities to others when called for.
Along with the ability to produce high-quality work in a timely manner, you will have solid analytical skills and be able to troubleshoot with a problem-solving approach.
Your key skills and experience will include:
- An Electrical Registration, Electrical Trade Certificate, and a current practicing license
- NZQA Instrument Measurement & Control or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience working within an industrial environment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Can work autonomously but also be a great team player.
