**The opportunity**

As part of our broader business of over 3,800, our Hamilton office of 150 people from various engineering disciplines works out of our offices in the city centre. Our depth of experience and exciting office culture enables our people to impact and play a massive role in the day-to-day life of people in the Waikato, New Zealand and even internationally. Our team deliver outstanding project outcomes across the industrial, infrastructure, buildings, water and advisory Business Lines. As our team goes from strength to strength, we are looking for a Junior to Intermediate Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join us

As a team, we directly interface with clients, contractors and vendors to work on various projects across New Zealand, Australia and Asia-Pacific. In this role, you will work across various clients and industries and focus on electrical and control systems for industrial sites. Every day will be different and expose you to new challenges, but overall, you can expect the following:

- Work across various electrical systems and equipment, anything and everything from 11kV down.
- Design and development of instrumentation and electrical systems, including single-line diagrams; motor-starter drawings; electrical layouts; instrument loop diagrams; cable schedules; PLC I/O schedules to name a few.
- Project management, procurement, and commissioning for existing and greenfield systems.
- Scope/requirements definition and procurement of equipment, software & installation work.
- Detailed design, contractual report writing & construction-related services.

**About you**

You are an Electrical Engineer with a couple of years of engineering experience who loves to learn and share knowledge wanting to be part of a wider team. You are passionate about design and problem solving with an inquiring mind and thinking laterally. Though not essential, some experience in a similar consulting, contracting or manufacturing plant environment would be advantageous in developing your skills in delivery and owning quality outcomes. Most of all, you are enthusiastic and motivated to continue to learn from your peers and other members of the team.
