As a member of our highly regarded Energy team, you will be involved in the technical design and delivery of critical infrastructure and industrial projects throughout New Zealand. This role can be based in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton or Christchurch.

We are a dedicated team of professionals who work closely with our clients to deliver innovative and technically challenging solutions on time, every time. We are looking for someone who shares our passion and is motivated to produce top quality electrical design work to our valued clients.

With a strong forward workload, you will be expected to undertake a variety of tasks including:

- Providing technical input of electrical components to road and rail tunnels, stations, water supply, waste water and storm water pump stations, storage and hydro dams
- Develop and implement effective Instrumentation and Controls design elements to assist automation and to enhance production or improve safety measures
- Collaborating with team members to deliver innovative electrical solutions to clients
- Be prepared to attend site visits, inspections and testing
- Drafting design packages from concept, tender to as-build stages.

- LV design including lighting and cabling routing
- Proficient in tasks that involve Installation, testing, and Commissioning practice associated with:

- NZ Electrical Safety Regulations (ESR) 2010
- AS/NZS 3000 NZ Wiring Rules,
- AS/NZS 2293 Emergency Lighting and Exit Signs for Buildings

**Qualifications**

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in infrastructure and industrial electrical design and be able to demonstrate:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; NZCE and Diploma holders will also be considered
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Team player; supports colleagues with delivery, participates with improvement ideas, open minded
- Design consultancy experience is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new programs and types of design
- Have a genuine interest in electrical engineering and progressing a career in the industrial and infrastructure sector
- Pro-efficient with the use of 2D AutoCAD and Digital 3D modelling systems i.e. REVIT/ BIM 360/ Navisworks or equivalent
- Researches industry trends and shares findings
- Prepared to foster AECOM business goals
- Knowledge of Street/Highway lighting design including associated software
- Knowledge of local low voltage electrical systems design, regulations and standards
- Understanding of Scada, controls, wired and wireless communications systems
