We are now seeking a Senior Business Development Manager with a proven hunter mindset and deep experience operating at senior commercial B2B level to spearhead growth in an expanding new energy solutions portfolio.
About the Role
As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will lead the charge in identifying, developing, and closing large-scale opportunities across the energy, infrastructure, and commercial sectors. You will develop strategic customer engagements with advanced solutions.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute sales leader who thrives in solution selling, technical complexity, and multi-stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition across commercial markets with a strong focus on new energy solutions.
- Build, qualify, and convert new customers through proactive prospecting and market engagement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including customers, partners and industry influencers.
- Lead complex solution sales cycles end-to-end, from opportunity scoping and technical discovery to proposal development and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate closely with technical, product, and delivery teams to craft optimised, commercially compelling customer solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities.
About You

- A strong hunter background with a track record of winning.
- Experience in new energy products, distributed energy resources, optimisation solutions, or related technology sectors.
- Exceptional solution selling capability, with the ability to translate technical capability into compelling commercial outcomes.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including credibility working with senior executives and strategic partners.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to navigate complex contracts and business cases.
- A growth mindset, resilience, and the ability to operate with agility in a high-opportunity, fast-moving market.
