As our Business Development Manager, you'll be the driving force behind growth and innovation across our Lighting and Smart Controls portfolio in NZ.

You'll build strong relationships with councils, contractors, consultants, and specifiers — becoming a trusted partner in delivering safer, smarter, and more sustainable lighting outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Identify, track, and secure project opportunities across NZ to achieve quarterly sales targets
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, councils, specifiers, consultants, and end users
  • Drive new business development and demand-generation initiatives
  • Manage CRM data, pipelines, and client interactions with accuracy
  • Prepare tailored sales proposals, tenders, and quotations
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders — from project managers to CEOs
  • Support channel partners and contractors with technical and commercial solutions
  • Conduct regional travel and attend evening lighting audits as required
  • Implement strategic sales and marketing initiatives to accelerate growth
  • Expand specification opportunities and increase portfolio profitability
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years' experience in lighting sales or a related technical sales environment
  • Strong understanding of lighting controls, drivers, and system characteristics
  • Proven ability to close deals, negotiate effectively, and manage long sales cycles
  • Experience in business development and market expansion within NZ
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking ability
  • CRM proficiency and familiarity with modern sales methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of the NZ lighting market and key industry players
  • Highly organised, proactive, flexible, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Unrestricted working rights in New Zealand
