Āheinga | The Opportunity
Part-time, located in McLaren Park
We're seeking a compassionate Health Improvement Practitioner to join our primary network team, working in our clinics located in the east of the city. Based within a GP clinic, you'll offer immediate support for any issue affecting hauora (wellbeing) in Māori and Pacific communities. You'll make a real impact by providing brief, evidence-based interventions.
You will work alongside GPs, nurses, Health Coaches and wider support services to strengthen care delivery and improve equity outcomes.
This role would suit a registered mental health professional who is currently studying or someone looking to reduce their working hours — we're open to discussing part-time or job share arrangements.

- Deliver brief, evidence-based interventions for individuals and whānau.
- Collaborate across general practices to enhance access and improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical and community teams.
- Maintain accurate and professional clinical documentation.

- Current registration with a recognised professional body (psychologist, nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, counsellor).
- Experience using ACT, CBT or Solution-Focused Therapy.
