Due to exciting growth in our Quality Engineering team and in line with the MBIE Digital Agency Strategy, we are building our capability in the testing space. These newly established positions will provide an exciting opportunity to experienced testers to grow and develop in various directions through a wide variety of projects across MBIE.

- About the role**: Our Senior Test Analyst role will be filled by someone who and is passionate about the benefits and importance testing brings. The Senior Test Analyst may be the sole tester on a project or be part of a larger test team.
You will need to have demonstrated experience as a Senior Test Analyst for this role and the desire for professional growth and improvement.

Quality Engineering is a newly established team at MBIE as we move swiftly into becoming a Digital Agency. They are tasked with building quality checks and measures into our software and technical delivery. The team is focused continually improving our ways of working and leveraging technology to drive this. This includes Cloud technology, automation, DevOps, and infrastructure as code.

- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent organisational skills
- Test planning - Ability to identify appropriate test cases/acceptance criteria/methodology from requirements
- Experience executing prepared test cases
- Raising, prioritising and managing defects
- Technical testing skills would be desirable
- Identity Management knowledge in any domain
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrable strategic thinking
- Stakeholder management
- Coaching and mentoring experience
Pre-requisites
- A tertiary qualification, relevant IT certification or equivalent testing experience
