This role is essential in ensuring smooth coordination and delivery of immunisation services across our hapori. If you're organised, people-focused, and passionate about hauora, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a fixed-term role until 30 Sept 2026.

About the Role:

You will work closely with our Registered Nurses and Practice Manager to provide administrative support for the delivery of immunisations in homes, kōhanga reo, kura, clinics, and other community settings. Your mahi will help ensure our pēpi and tamariki receive timely and effective immunisation care.

In addition to supporting immunisation delivery, you will play a key role in helping the team take a holistic, whānau-centred approach to hauora. This means proactively supporting the wider whānau — for example, helping coordinate follow-ups for māmā needing cervical screening, or ensuring whānau have access to relevant health resources and services. Your contribution will help create a seamless, culturally safe experience that supports the wellbeing of the whole whānau.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and outreach communications with whānau.
  • Maintain accurate records of immunisation visits, consent forms, and follow-ups.
  • Support data entry into clinical systems and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
  • Assist with stock management of vaccines and supplies (e.g., ordering, tracking).
  • Liaise with community organisations and hauora providers to support programme logistics.
  • Provide general administrative support to the nursing team, including reporting and documentation.
  • Help prepare resources and educational materials for whānau.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in administration, preferably in a health or community setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Confidence using digital systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • A commitment to equity, cultural safety, and whānau-centred care.
  • Full NZ driver's licence (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of te ao Māori and ability to engage respectfully with whānau Māori.

Flexibility:

This role requires flexibility to support the team during early evenings or weekends as needed.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • A chance to contribute meaningfully to the hauora of tamariki and their whānau.
