Door Technician

We are looking for an energetic and customer focused person with a 'can do' attitude and experienced in our industry or similar trades to service our customers' needs in the greater Queenstown area. Your skills will be put to good use in this autonomous role which offers a lot of variety.

We often have overtime available (with penal rates) that will give you the opportunity to  increase your earnings potential.

We are looking for someone with:

  • The ability to self-manage and think through issues and problems to reach solutions
  • Great communication skills and confident working with customers
  • Preferably experience working in the Commercial and Industrial door industry - or related trades
  • A keen interest to get out and about in the greater Central Otago area in a late model vehicle

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on Roller and Automatic doors systems and componentry
  • Ordering parts, supplies and equipment when required
  • Updating the company's database via a company supplied smart phone
  • Keeping people informed as to progress and issues in a timely manner
  • Representing our brand positively with our customers
  • Rostered on Call afterhours service

You will work with our South Island manger who is based in Christchurch and have support from our Invercargill and Dunedin based technicians.
