A bit about your role
As the Group Risk and Assurance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding a strong risk and assurance culture across the Yili Oceania Business Division (YOBD), which includes Westland Milk Products and its sister companies. Reporting directly to the GM CEO Office, you'll work closely with senior leaders across the group to deliver a robust risk management framework and lead the internal assurance programme.
This is a strategic and hands-on role where you'll influence decision-making at the highest levels, contribute to Audit and Risk Committee reporting, and build trusted relationships with both local and global stakeholders. You'll also lead change initiatives and champion continuous improvement across the business.
A bit about you
You're a proven risk and assurance professional with a strong background in internal audit, external audit, or enterprise risk management—ideally within a complex or regulated environment. You bring a strategic mindset, a collaborative approach, and the confidence to engage with senior leaders and global stakeholders.
You're known for your ability to simplify complexity, influence outcomes, and deliver value through insight and action. With a passion for continuous improvement, you thrive in dynamic environments and are energised by the opportunity to shape a best-in-class risk and assurance function.
A bit about the organisation
Westland Milk Products is a well-known New Zealand end-to-end dairy manufacturer based in the beautiful South Island, with operations in Christchurch and Hokitika. As part of the Yili Oceania Business Division (YOBD)—which includes Oceania Dairy (Glenavy), Pure Nutrition (Rolleston), Canary Foods (Hamilton), and EasiYo (Auckland)—we are proud to be part of the Yili Group, one of the world's top five dairy companies.
Together, the YOBD produces over 170,000mt of finished goods annually, exporting to more than 40 countries and generating over $1.3 billion in revenue. We're on a journey to become a world-class health food provider, and we're looking for people who want to be part of something big.
