About the Opportunity – Permanent – Project Engineer

In this dynamic position, you will play a vital role in delivering civil engineering and construction projects that strengthen communities across the South Island. Key Project Engineer Responsibilities – Civil, Construction, and Infrastructure Projects 

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage project activities to achieve successful and timely project delivery. 
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and variances, and implement corrective actions as required. 
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication and effective teamwork. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met. 
  • Support and promote health, safety, and environmental best practices, reflecting the company's core values. 

What You Bring – Project Engineer Skills and Experience 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering. 
  • 3 - 5yrs Experience working on civil infrastructure projects (New Zealand experience is advantageous but not essential). 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required. 
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach towards continuous improvement. 
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand. 
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
