Packaging Technician
to join our crew and help ensure our iconic beer, cider, and RTDs roll off the line in top-notch form.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of our Packaging team – ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
This role operates on a 40-hour rotating shift pattern:
- 06:00–14:00
- 14:00–22:00
- 22:00–06:00
across
Monday to Saturday

What you'll be doing:
- Operate, maintain and improve packaging machinery to meet production targets.
- Ensure products are packaged to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Play an active role in our
TPM Continuous Improvement Programme
, using tools like Lean, 5S and Kaizen to eliminate losses and lift performance. - Complete reactive, planned and predictive maintenance tasks (on time, every time).
- Collaborate with production, maintenance and inventory teams to keep things flowing.
- Create and follow SOPs, contribute to training, and keep our systems up to date.
- Be flexible and adaptable – jumping into multiple zones or tech areas as needed.
What you'll bring to the table:
- A mechanical or electrical trade qualification (NZCE, Advanced Trade Cert, or similar).
- 3–5 years' experience in packaging or maintenance in brewing, FMCG or food/beverage industries.
- Solid understanding of CMMS systems and continuous improvement practices.
- A sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a real team-first attitude.
- A drive to learn, improve and share knowledge with others.
- Applicants must have full-time work rights in New Zealand.
