Be part of the team that gets great beer into Kiwi hands
At DB Breweries, we don't just brew beer - we craft experiences. We're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Packaging Technician to join our crew and help ensure our iconic beer, cider, and RTDs roll off the line in top-notch form.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of our Packaging team - ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
This role operates on a 40-hour rotating shift pattern:
- 06:00-14:00
- 14:00-22:00
- 22:00-06:00
across Monday to Saturday.
If you're ready to be part of a team that's passionate about quality and proud of what we produce, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Operate, maintain and improve packaging machinery to meet production targets.
- Ensure products are packaged to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Play an active role in our TPM Continuous Improvement Programme, using tools like Lean, 5S and Kaizen to eliminate losses and lift performance.
- Complete reactive, planned and predictive maintenance tasks (on time, every time).
- Collaborate with production, maintenance and inventory teams to keep things flowing.
- Create and follow SOPs, contribute to training, and keep our systems up to date.
- Be flexible and adaptable - jumping into multiple zones or tech areas as needed.
What you'll bring to the table:
- A mechanical or electrical trade qualification (NZCE, Advanced Trade Cert, or similar).
- 3-5 years' experience in packaging or maintenance in brewing, FMCG or food/beverage industries.
- Solid understanding of CMMS systems and continuous improvement practices.
- A sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a real team-first attitude.
- A drive to learn, improve and share knowledge with others.
- Applicants must have full-time work rights in New Zealand.
Come and brew your career with our Supply Chain team at DB Breweries. Apply today
