About the Role (your why)
Role Overview The Application Support Analyst role is responsible for second and third level support and maintenance of managed Datacom client applications through its lifecycle. This role includes day-to-day incident and problem management across multiple clients in the Application Management team. The Application Support Analyst will communicate with the client, and the internal Application management teams within the specified timeframe that meets specifications and/or SLA's. This role ensures all work aligns to Datacom's standards and guidelines.
What you'll do:
- Analyse and diagnose complex issues raised by clients and provide effective solutions maintaining the integrity of the system and data
- Provide technical support and consultancy as required
- Problem solve and troubleshoot
- Participate in the development of new features and capabilities of the software
- Maintain and extend support documentation for current and next versions of software
What you'll bring:
You will have a strong IT and / or computer science background, as well as solid technical skills. Good understanding of SDLC and ITIL methodologies would be advantageous. You will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder / customer expectations. Prior experience with application support is important and you will ideally have experience working across a large, complex IT organisation, with a broad range of toolsets. Other qualities we are looking for include a positive attitude, ability to work as part of a team and independently when required. Being a self-starter and a willingness to learn is also desirable.
