He aha te mahi? What's the role?

We're looking for a Data Analyst to deliver expert data analysis, integration, and database administration for our Conditioning & Cool Chain operations, empowering Zespri with advanced insights and analytics. In this role, you'll transform data into actionable intelligence, optimise systems for reliability, and design impactful Power BI dashboards. Based in our Mount Maunganui office, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to boost performance, ensure business continuity, and champion continuous improvement across our global network.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Proactively conduct data analysis on conditioning and cold chain information to deliver actionable insights that support informed decision-making.
• Monitor and report on system performance for Conditioning & Cool Chain functions.
• Optimise existing applications and processes, and develop new Power BI reports and data models.
• Analyse Conditioning & Cool Chain data to create customised reporting and actionable insights.
• Develop user-friendly dashboards that include scheduling and automated notifications.
• Support temperature data management and build analytical tools to monitor storage and transport conditions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and improve data handling with external providers (e.g., Xsense, Sensitech, Shipping Lines).
• Enhance processes through application development and maintain strong knowledge of Zespri systems and data sources.
• Configure and enhance solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to enterprise standards and best practices.
• Work with team members and external providers to resolve performance issues, review system effectiveness, and implement improvements.
• Support Cool Chain initiatives with reporting, implementation, and continuous improvement activities.

We are looking for a strong communicator who possesses solid experience working in a similar data analysis and insights or report development role. The successful candidate will also have:

• Expertise in Data analysis and insights, Power BI and experience managing reports with SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehouses and high data literacy (analysis, processing, visualisation).
• Ability to work independently and translate Conditioning & Cool Chain requirements into reporting solutions.
• Relevant project management experience with strong communication and reporting skills.
• Background in large-scale corporate environments with complex business processes (preferrable).
• Understanding of global supply chain processes; knowledge of cool chain and perishable product management is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing business cases and specifications for all organisational levels.
