Role Overview

Rydges Latimer is a well-loved property in the heart of Christchurch CBD, overing fantastic dining at Bloody Mary's, exceptional conference and events spaces and elevated accomodation. The Groups Reservations Coordinator ensures all reservations are processed accurately and efficiently, with a strong focus on group bookings and exceptional customer service. This role supports revenue growth through upselling and seamless coordination across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reservations for individuals and groups via phone, email, and GDS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate group bookings, including quotations, contracts, rooming lists, and operational handovers.
  • Maintain reservation systems (Opera PMS) with accurate data for rates, packages, and guest details.
  • Monitor deposits and prepayments, following up to minimize risk and ensure timely payments.
  • Upsell room types and packages to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth guest experiences and resolve any issues promptly.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with hotel PMS systems in reservations or front office (Opera preferred) and strong computer skills. (Essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to upsell. (Essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate processing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in reservations or telephone sales with a customer service focus.
  • Analytical and financial aptitude for accurate quoting and reporting.
