As our Director of Systems Management, you'll lead our 24x7 technical IT managed service that we provide for our customer's core, mission-critical, systems located around the world. You will be responsible for the business unit's service delivery, technical direction, growth, risk management and profitability.
You will also oversee our internal IT services that equip our people with the tools, systems, and support needed to thrive, and enable Jade to securely manage and leverage its information, data, and systems.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll oversee the global portfolio of customers, lead a team of 50+ specialists, and ensure our services remain secure, reliable and high-performing for both external clients and internal teams.
This is a senior leadership role for someone with an extensive technical background, who is a strategic thinker, and is willing and able to gets hands on.
Your Mission
- Ensure reliable, secure, high-performing customer systems and exceptional service delivery
- Define and lead managed service strategy aligned with company goals, customer needs, and market trends
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team of engineers and IT service professionals
- Create compelling customer sales propositions, including service innovation, pricing, and value
- Guide technical and process decisions with hands-on expertise
- Drive service innovation to boost efficiency, scalability, and profitability
- Contribute to ELT strategy with insights from systems and service operations
- Quickly assess complex scenarios to identify and resolve issues, mitigate risks, and seize opportunities
- Directly contribute to the creation and management of customer service agreements.
- Build trusted customer relationships as a strategic advisor
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, SOC2)
What You Bring
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the technical deployment, management and monitoring of;
- cloud and on-premise server and related infrastructure,
- enterprise applications,
- database and data stores,
- applications deployment,
- networking,
- IT security - Proven leadership experience
- Track record of driving operational excellence
- Good commercial acumen and understanding of service-based business models
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective management of customer, stakeholder and other relationships
- Experience and ability to create, review and maintain customer legal documents (with legal help where necessary)
- Strategic thinker and systems mindset
- A good understanding of risk management processes

- Relevant tertiary qualification
- ITIL training / knowledge
- Contract law training for non-lawyers
- Sales and negotiation skills training
- Project management training
- Experience working at Executive Level
