Mo te tunga | About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Enabling Communities Programme. Enabling Communities is a transformative initiative that gives selected partners an opportunity to redesign and reimagine what care looks like for their own tamariki and wh nau.

The Project Coordinator's role is to support the successful delivery of project initiatives across one of our active Enabling Communities prototypes. The Project Coordinator works closely with the programme team and is responsible for providing project, reporting, logistical and general coordination support.

Ng pumanawatanga ou | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include:

  • Minimum two years experience in supporting Programme Manager/Programme Team in a complex programme
  • Experience in maintaining project plans and control books (including risk register, issues register etc).
  • Working knowledge of project methodologies.
  • Experience in producing effective presentations, status reports and other project artefacts.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and build and maintain rapport with others.
  • Experience working in a complex and evolving environment.
  • Appreciation of cross-cultural issues, concerns, and knowledge of tikanga M ori, te ao M ori, and te reo M ori.

In addition to the above key requirements, the following attributes are desirable:

  • Knowledge, understanding and ability to work with and respond to the diverse needs, experiences and views of tamariki, rangatahi, parents and caregivers that Oranga Tamariki interacts with.

  • Experience working in partnership with M ori led or Iwi organisations.
