Morgan Project Services are experienced construction and insurance consultants, managing insurance claims across New Zealand. We deliver a highly professional project management service focused on time, cost and quality deliverables. We have a lengthy history of disaster recovery services and Business As Usual ('BAU') claim management in both the commercial and residential sectors.
About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to apply their project management experience and insurance skills across multiple claims throughout New Zealand. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience leading a team, or a senior Project Manager who is looking to step into a leadership role over time. You'll be joining our Wellington team, which consists of five Project Managers.
You will be driven to succeed personally and motivated to support the success of those around you. To thrive in this role, you will have a strong technical understanding of the building industry, construction techniques, practices, products, and relevant legislation, and be a registered building contractor or Project Manager.
You will be part of a supportive team of like-minded professionals, with the opportunity to develop and advance your own skills and expertise alongside some of the most experienced practitioners in the industry.
Duties:
- Manage design consultants, to achieve solutions that meet the insurance policy response, building code requirements, financial outcomes
- Focus on health and safety compliance in accordance with the MPS policies and procedures
- Complete site meetings
- Complete scopes of work
- Engage specialists and external consultants when required, review reports and provide feedback
- Work alongside the team leader and project coordinator, to collaboratively progress claims as efficiently and effectively as possible
- Liaising with contractors to streamline the process and facilitate the repair/settlement
- Be available to respond to an event and manage claims in a specific location when required
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2+ years NZ/AUS project management experience
- LBP or able to obtain LBP Licence
- Experience in dealing with Insurance claims is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate tough conversations
- Proven planning & program management experience
- Strong IT skillset
- Approachable, reliable, and adaptable
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and Health and Safety at Work act and regulation
- Great organizational skills and time management
- Enjoy working in a high-performing, collaborative team environment
- Full drivers license
