About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Advisor to support the implementation of Health New Zealand's Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) across national, regional, and district levels.

This role provides subject matter expertise, coordination, and leadership in business continuity planning and delivery, contributing to national projects and supporting organisational resilience.

You'll work closely with regional leads and other business units to ensure continuity of services during disruptive events and help shape best practice across the health and disability system.

About the Team/Service/ Location

This role sits within the Health, Wellbeing, Safety & Organisational Resilience team in the People & Culture team You'll be part of a national network of emergency management professionals, working closely with district leads and regional teams to strengthen our emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

About you

With a strong background in business continuity, you're highly organised, able to manage complex projects independently. You'll be knowledgeable of the health and disability sector, and skilled at building and maintaining relationships across the health and disability system and other government agencies.

You will have:

  • A CBCI qualification from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and a relevant tertiary qualification.

  • At least five years' experience in Business Continuity Management, with a strong track record of leading projects and applying contemporary best practice.

  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and independently deliver and report on projects within the sector.
