Do you have exceptional sales support, coordination and administration skills and love working within the farming community?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to provide support to our Taranaki livestock sales and administration team.

About the role

In this position you will provide administrative support to clients and customers at our weekly and seasonal sales and assist our livestock representatives and operations team.

You will work out of our local saleyards and regional office/store, providing administrative, technical and compliance support to customers and representatives.

Working 40 hours per week, no one sale is the same and these are very busy and demanding environments, so plenty of energy is required. The work may extend to on-farm sales and cover throughout the Taranaki region, so flexibility to travel is required.

Due to the nature of our business, our ideal candidate will have some knowledge or experience of the agriculture industry, strong administrative skills and flexibility to adapt to many situations.

As this position requires attendance at livestock auctions (classified as events), the successful candidate will need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, as mandated under the Covid Protection Framework.

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills
  • Be self-motivated, have a great sense of humour and an enthusiastic, positive attitude
  • Previous administration experience
  • A high level of computer skills is essential
  • Be able to prioritise, use initiative and ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met
  • Full, current NZ driver's licence
