Tangarakau Gold Limited

$70,000 per year including accommodation | Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week

Tangarakau Gold Limited is a growing apiculture and honey-production business operating in a remote and unique part of Taranaki. We work closely with landowners, wholesalers, and retail customers to deliver high-quality honey and related services. We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Manager to oversee our customer-facing operations, support the smooth functioning of the office, and help ensure that our production and service standards are consistently met.

This position requires a proactive, organised professional capable of coordinating staff, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring service delivery across both office and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Relationship Management

  • Develop, review, and implement customer service policies, processes, and service standards to ensure consistently high-quality interactions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, wholesalers, and service partners, responding to enquiries, resolving issues promptly, and managing expectations.
  • Plan and coordinate after-sales service activities, including follow-ups on customer satisfaction, product performance, and service needs.

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Provide day-to-day direction and supervision to staff involved in office, operational, and customer-facing functions.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Allocate duties, monitor workloads, review performance, and ensure service levels are achieved.

Operational Coordination

  • Oversee office operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, including record-keeping for stock, orders, and service activities.
  • Liaise across organisational units—including extraction, production, logistics, and suppliers—to support coordinated service delivery.
  • Ensure that all customer-related documentation, communications, and records are maintained to a high standard.

Quality & Compliance

  • Support the development and review of operational procedures related to customer services, stock handling, and product quality.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You will be an organised and adaptable professional with strong experience in customer service, hospitality, operations, or office management. You will also have proven ability to lead teams, manage relationships, and work effectively in a varied role requiring both administrative and practical oversight.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in customer service and team leadership.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Full driver licence.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to take a senior role in a small, high-trust organisation where you will have real influence over service quality, operational performance, and the customer experience. Accommodation is provided, and the role offers a diverse and rewarding working environment.

If you are looking for a leadership role where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you.
