Join ANZCO Foods as our South Island Livestock Transport Coordinator. Based in Ashburton, this full-time role is at the heart of keeping our South Island livestock operations running efficiently. You will coordinate the allocation and transport of ovine stock to processing plants and provide support to the Bovine Transport team.

What you will do:

  • Manage daily transport schedules and coordinate deliveries across the South Island
  • Negotiate backload rates and maximise transport efficiency
  • Allocate livestock space at processing plants and ensure smooth yard operations
  • Monitor stock movements, delivery times, and yard capacities to maintain workflow
  • Communicate with transport companies, livestock representatives, and processing sites to ensure timely, accurate updates
  • Organise transport for ANZCO-owned livestock, feedlots, farms, and graziers
  • Ensure compliance with all animal welfare, transport, and biosecurity regulations
  • Maintain accurate transport records, schedules, and documentation
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with transport partners, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve transport planning, cost efficiency, and service delivery

About you:

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence with new technology
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
  • Experience in transport logistics or an agricultural background preferred
