About the role

Bluecurrent is a leading provider of innovative smart metering services and solutions in New Zealand and Australia. As a B2B company, we partner with leading energy retailers and distributors in New Zealand and Australia.

Are you ready to support the delivery of reliable meters for Bluecurrent customers? We have an exciting opportunity for a Meter Maintenance Specialist to oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of our metering systems. In this role, you will help solve challenges, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handle investigations and complaints related to retro meters, orphaned meters, non-communicating meters and cross metering incidents, ensuring that all procedures are followed, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide professional and timely responses to customers, ensuring that their concerns are fully resolved.
  • Maintain accurate records of investigations, resolutions, and customer interactions related to meter issues.
  • Prepare regular reports on metering performance, trends, and ongoing investigations for management review.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to metering processes, tools, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • A Strong understanding of metering systems, including communication protocols, meter functionality, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex metering issues and develop effective solutions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing investigations, ensuring that all data and records are correct and up to date.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints professionally and empathetically, ensuring that issues are resolved.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document investigations, report on findings, and interact with customers and internal teams.
